Terms & Conditions

These terms apply when you register for a conference or a workshop, or use this website. By completing a booking you accept them, and we recommend reading sections 3, 4 and 6 in particular because they contain the obligations people most often overlook.

The contract is between you and MediEdify Global. Where your employer, university or student society pays for your place, they contract with us for the booking and you remain bound by these terms as the delegate.

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your booking is the version published when you booked, and we keep archived copies so that can be established.

We commit to deliver the programme substantially as described on its course page at the time you booked, including the faculty ratio, contact hours, assessment method and CPD credit value stated there.

• If we change a programme materially before delivery, we will tell you and you may transfer or cancel for a full refund.
• If we substitute a named faculty member, the replacement will hold equivalent standing. Named faculty are indicative and no booking is conditional on a specific individual unless we have confirmed that in writing.
• If we cancel an event, you receive a full refund of any fee paid, or a transfer to the rescheduled date if you prefer.
• Where a course page states a limit on what the programme can achieve, that statement forms part of the description and we will not later claim more for it.

We do not guarantee that you will pass an assessment, achieve a competency statement, be granted credentialling by your employer, or have your credits recognised by a particular regulator. Sections 5 and 9 explain this in more detail.

• Provide accurate registration details. Your attendance confirmation and certificate carry the exact name submitted at registration, and correcting credentials after issue requires evidence of identity.
• Meet stated prerequisites. Where a workshop lists mandatory pre-course preparation, completion is a condition of attendance, because in-person sessions are built on that foundational knowledge.
• Delegate registrations are personal to you. Booking confirmations, event passes, and workshop materials are non-transferable unless arranged and confirmed with our team in advance.
• Do not record our live sessions or in-person teaching without written permission.
• Behave professionally towards faculty, staff and other learners, in person and across all communication channels.
• Tell us about accessibility requirements or adjustments as early as you can, so we can arrange them properly rather than improvising on the day.

Practical workshops carry obligations that online courses do not, and we set them out separately because they matter.

• You must hold a current professional registration where the workshop requires one, and we may ask for evidence.
• You must follow all facility safety instructions, dress requirements and sharps protocols. We may remove a delegate who does not, without refund.
• Where a workshop involves specialist facilities or materials with their own conduct and consent requirements, this is stated on the workshop, at the point of booking and in your confirmation, and you must acknowledge those requirements before attending.
• Photography and recording are prohibited in anatomy facilities without exception.
• You are responsible for maintaining your own professional indemnity where applicable. Attending our workshop does not extend any cover to you.

Practical assessments include safety-critical criteria that we cannot waive as an adjustment. Where that affects you, we will say so plainly in advance rather than at the assessment station.

We award CPD credits and professional certificates. We do not award degrees, specialty qualifications or licences, and no MediEdify document confers a right to practise anything.

• A certificate of attendance confirms completion. A competency statement confirms you were assessed against defined criteria and met them. These are different documents and we issue the second only where a genuine assessment occurred.
• Credits are allocated using the methodology published on our accreditation page.
• Recognition of credits is a decision for your regulator or employer, not for us. We provide outcome mappings and verifiable certificates to make that decision straightforward.
• Certificates obtained by misrepresentation or misconduct are void, and we will confirm that to verifying organisations.

Session content, recordings and materials remain our intellectual property or that of the educators who created them. Your registration grants a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own learning and practice.

What you may do

• Use techniques, protocols and knowledge from our programmes freely in your own clinical practice. That is the entire point.
• Reproduce and adapt resources we publish as free and open access for internal teaching and audit within your own organisation, with attribution.
• Quote short extracts with attribution for academic or educational commentary.

What you may not do

• Redistribute, publish or sell our course materials, recordings or assessment instruments.
• Use our materials to deliver teaching to third parties commercially without a licence from us.
• Reproduce our assessment instruments in any form, which also protects the integrity of your own certificate.
• Use our name, logo or accreditation marks to imply endorsement of your own programme.

Where we design bespoke materials for an institution, that institution receives a perpetual licence to use them internally for its own staff, and we retain the underlying intellectual property and the right to reuse generic components. This is what keeps bespoke design affordable and it is stated in every institutional contract.

Where a fee applies, the exact amount you will be charged is shown before you confirm, and includes applicable taxes where we are required to charge them.

• The registration fee for each event, and the currency it is charged in, are published on that event page and confirmed in your booking email before any payment is due.
• Institutional, university and student society invoices are payable within thirty days unless agreed otherwise.
• Where a fee is not yet confirmed for an event, registering your place does not commit you to pay: you may withdraw once the fee is published if it does not work for you.
• Cancellation, transfer and refund rights are set out in full in our refund and cancellation policy, which forms part of these terms.

Our events and sessions are professional spaces shared by students, trainees and practitioners from many countries and health systems. We expect the standard you would apply on a ward round.

• Never post identifiable patient information. This is the one rule we enforce immediately and without discussion.
• Disagree with the evidence, not with the person. Robust academic argument is welcome; personal abuse is not.
• No promotion of commercial products or services, including your own.
• Respect the recording and photography rules stated at each session.

We may remove a delegate from an event, or decline a future booking, for serious or repeated breaches. Where we do, you keep certificates already earned unless they were obtained through the breach, and we will explain our reasoning in writing.

Our education is intended to support your professional judgement, not replace it. Clinical decisions remain yours and remain governed by your own registration, your employer policies and local guidance.

• We are not liable for clinical outcomes arising from your practice, however informed by our teaching.
• We are not liable for a regulator or employer declining to recognise credits, provided we have described the accreditation accurately.
• We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost income from time spent studying or travelling.
• Our total liability for any booking is limited to the fees you paid for it, except where liability cannot lawfully be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraud.
• We are not liable for failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, though our cancellation commitments in section 2 still apply.

The governing law and jurisdiction for these terms, and the contracting entity for each event, are confirmed in your booking confirmation. Nothing in these terms removes a statutory right you hold under the consumer law of your own country of residence.

Nothing here removes statutory consumer rights available to you where you live. If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, your local rights and courts remain available regardless of the above.

Before formal proceedings we ask that you raise the matter with us directly. Most disputes we have had were resolved by someone senior reading the file properly, and we would rather do that than litigate.
